Imagine a situation where you have written a good commit message and done the same for its description by adding 3 more lines. Then, after filling out all the required fields, a pre-commit hook is triggered. Unfortunately, one of the style tests fails, and all your efforts to write a meaningful commit message are lost.
My suggestion is that, if a solution doesn't already exist, we could add something like a text saving feature to the cache, so that you can tap up or down on the keyboard to restore the last text you wrote in the title and description fields.
