Feature request: Display state while waiting for connection / retrieving data

Connecting to my DNS server (may happen on other connections) takes quite some time.

The first few times i thought nothing happened / something went wrong.

Display of the current state could help here:

• Connecting ...
• Retrieving date (10/123)

Same is true for listing DNS domains

This is probably just network lag, but you make a good point. There should be some kind of indication of what's going on (instead of a hung GUI).
