A pull last month switched this branch away from tag-based checkout, swiftlang/swift#87886, despite @bkhouri's request not to, so checkouts of even the trunk snapshot source tags will now produce an arbitrary commit, precisely as he warned against.
We have at least accounted for this before by adding trunk snapshot tags to such repos, pinging @shahmishal to set that up here too.
