Upgrade numpy to 2.x.x #224
Description
Currently numpy is pinned to numpy<2.0.0
Is there a reason for this? Can we relax this? Or move on the 2.x.x versions?
I'd be happy to see what numpy call sites would need an update to move up to 2.x.x and propose such a change but only if folks would "in principle accept" such a change.
