We use Rrup to compute Rjb by setting depths to zero. 1) I need to check that the station elevation is also set to zero in these calculations; and 2) since we use ECEF, we get non-zero Rjb values within the surface projection of the fault plane. A simple solution to #2 is to add a pre-check on wether or not it should be exactly zero, and if so, don't bother calling the Rrup code.
