Modify IAT?

Hi,

So all the templates for the IAT are 2x2 but I was wondering if I could change that to a 3x2 (e.g. 3 different races)? Is there any way to modify this?

I'm kind of rusty on the IAT but what you're proposing doesn't make sense. For example if you have the following categories: African-American, Caucasian, Asian and Positive and Negative (3x2)
How do you propose doing the mappings? You would need a 4x4 mapping if you want this to work. Otherwise the assumptions of automatic responses to the stimuli will be violated as participants will be preoccupied with the keyboard.
