4th and Bailey is an Enterprise IT Consulting firm headquartered in Houston, TX, serving organizations nationwide. This Code of Conduct documents the standards we hold ourselves to — in every client engagement, every vendor relationship, every professional interaction, and every platform where the 4th and Bailey brand appears.
This is not a compliance document. It is a statement of how we operate.
We recommend what is right for your environment — not what benefits us. Platform agnosticism is not a marketing claim. We have no preferred vendor relationships that influence our recommendations. When we recommend Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace, or any other platform, it is because that platform is the right fit for the client's specific situation.
We are principal-led on every engagement. Senior attention from the first conversation to the final deliverable. We do not staff engagements with junior resources and oversee from a distance. Every client knows who is working on their engagement at every stage.
We do not cut corners. Every engagement is approached deliberately, precisely, and without shortcuts — regardless of scope, timeline, or budget.
We protect client confidentiality. Information shared with us during an engagement is held in strict confidence. We do not reference specific client situations without explicit permission.
We give honest assessments. If the answer to a client's question is not what they were hoping to hear, we still give that answer. Honesty serves our clients better than agreement.
4th and Bailey makes deliberate decisions about which platforms and tools we use and endorse. We participate on platforms whose practices align with the standards we hold ourselves and our clients to.
We do not participate on platforms that:
- Exploit brand assets in advertising without compensation
- Monetize user behavioral data without meaningful transparency
- Act against users without notification or explanation
- Have demonstrated a pattern of conduct inconsistent with our values
These are not policy disagreements. They are documented, reviewed decisions based on direct experience and ongoing assessment.
To our clients: We will always prioritize your outcomes over our convenience. We will tell you what you need to hear. We will protect your data, your infrastructure, and your confidence in us.
To the industries we serve: We serve organizations across legal, financial services, healthcare, property management, manufacturing, energy, education, non-profit, and more. We bring the same standard of care to every sector regardless of size.
To the broader technology community: We support responsible security research and disclosure. We publish our security policy publicly. We hold our own infrastructure to the same standards we recommend to clients.
In all professional interactions — client engagements, vendor relationships, community participation, and public communications — 4th and Bailey personnel are expected to:
- Treat every individual with respect regardless of role, background, or organization size
- Communicate honestly and directly
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Decline relationships or engagements that create conflicts of interest
- Report ethical concerns through appropriate channels
If you have a concern about how 4th and Bailey has conducted itself in a professional engagement or public interaction, we want to hear from you directly.
