This looks good to me, but could you also update our installation script to support aarch64 and x86_64 flags (with x86_64 as the default) and to correctly install either binary using the same process we currently have there?

I changed the workflow files to compile and release binaries for both Azure archs, x86-64 but also aarch64. The arm container requires extra dependencies and had problems with compiling with go 1.23 on ubuntu-latest so I had to add 1.24.1 from go's site.
The different release action is to remove deprecation messages from github.
