Hi Dimitris 👋
This PR adds GitAgent Protocol (GAP) support to deep-research — a small, open standard for portable, interoperable AI agents (gitagent.sh).
What this adds (nothing else changes):
agent.yaml— a standard manifest declaring the agent's name, version, preferred model (Claude opus), runtime settings, four skills (recursive_research, socratic, perspective_expander, grounded_research), and compliance tier.SOUL.md— the agent's persona and epistemic commitments, distilled from your README and shell scripts into the standard soul format. With these two files, deep-research becomes discoverable and runnable on any GAP-compatible runtime, and can be listed in the Open GAP registry. Nothing in your existing code changes — this is purely additive.
Feel free to tweak the manifest (adjust the model, add/remove skills, tighten the soul file) or close if it's not a fit. Thanks for building this in the open — the fractal recursion approach is genuinely clever. 🌀
⭐ If the standard looks useful, the project lives at https://github.com/open-gitagent/opengap — a star helps more maintainers discover it.
