Welcome to the official GitHub organization of the Cybersecurity Society at IIEST Shibpur. We are a passionate, student-driven community dedicated to exploring the vast and dynamic world of information security, ethical hacking, and digital privacy.
Our mission is to foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness on campus, build a strong team of ethical hackers, and contribute to the global open-source security community.
We focus on a wide range of cybersecurity disciplines, training our members to tackle modern digital threats:
- Offensive Security & Pentesting: Identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in networks and applications.
- Capture The Flag (CTF): Competing in global Jeopardy and Attack/Defense style CTF competitions.
- Cryptography: Breaking ciphers, understanding encryption algorithms, and securing data.
- Reverse Engineering & Pwn: Analyzing compiled binaries and exploiting memory corruption vulnerabilities.
- Digital Forensics & OSINT: Investigating cybercrimes, analyzing memory dumps, and gathering open-source intelligence.
This GitHub organization serves as the central hub for our community's technical projects:
- CTF Writeups: Detailed solutions and methodologies for challenges we've cracked.
- Custom Tools & Scripts: Open-source security tools developed by our members.
- Workshop Materials: Slides, code snippets, and vulnerable labs used during our campus sessions.
- Cheatsheets & Roadmaps: Curated resources to help beginners start their cybersecurity journey.
We work with a variety of languages and tools to break and secure systems:
Whether you are a seasoned bug bounty hunter or a complete beginner curious about how the internet works, there is a place for you here.
- Students of IIESTS: Keep an eye out for our recruitment drives and weekly meetups on campus!
- Open Source Contributors: Feel free to fork our public repositories, submit pull requests, and open issues. We welcome external contributions.
