What:

  • Added ANSI color codes (GREEN, RED, CYAN, YELLOW) and <iomanip> to format the console output of the Number Guesser C++ game.
  • Included emojis (🎮, 📈, 📉, 🎉, ⚠️) for better visual feedback.
  • Restructured the "Zen Mode" Easter Egg into a clean, ASCII-art formatted box.
  • Improved cross-platform compatibility by replacing the Windows-only system("pause") with standard C++ cin.ignore(10000, '\n'); cin.get();.

Why:

  • The CLI experience was purely text-based and monotone, increasing cognitive load when scanning inputs and outputs.
  • The system("pause") command prevented the game from running or exiting cleanly on Unix/macOS environments, causing poor developer UX.
  • The visual polish (colors, emojis) provides immediate visual cues for success or failure states.

Accessibility:

  • Adding colors and emojis enhances visual distinction, making it easier for users with visual fatigue or reading difficulties to quickly understand the game's feedback.

Changes:

  • NumberGuess/NumberGuess.cpp
