@pedropaulofb pedropaulofb released this 15 May 23:36

DOI License: CC-BY-4.0

TL;DR. Publishes the Applied Use Cases of the Health-RI Semantic Interoperability Initiative presentation deck as a standalone documents release in PDF and PowerPoint Show (PPSX) formats for archiving, sharing, and DOI minting; no changes to ontology, mappings, or vocabulary.

Summary

Adds the presentation deck HRI-SSI-user-story in two distributable formats:

  • PDF for stable viewing and archiving.
  • PPSX for presentation-mode distribution.

The deck presents applied use cases of the Health-RI Semantic Interoperability Initiative through a user story centered on identifying, comparing, and reusing sex- and gender-related variables across datasets. It focuses on:

  • clarifying meanings before reuse;
  • identifying datasets that represent the required meaning;
  • using mappings to connect dataset variables, standard concepts, and explicit meanings;
  • moving from fragile pairwise mappings to meaning-based semantic reuse;
  • querying semantic knowledge to support practical data reuse decisions;
  • assessing whether variables align, partially overlap, or should not be reused together.

No changes to HRIO (OntoUML/OWL), HRIV, mappings, tooling, or repository structure beyond the addition of these presentation files.

Affected files

  • documents/presentations/HRI-SSI-user-story.pdf
  • documents/presentations/HRI-SSI-user-story.ppsx

@pedropaulofb pedropaulofb released this 13 May 12:08

DOI License: CC-BY-4.0

TL;DR. Publishes the ICT.OPEN 2026 poster as a standalone documents release in PDF format for archiving, sharing, and DOI minting; no changes to ontology, mappings, or vocabulary.

Summary

Adds the ICT.OPEN 2026 poster ictopen2026.pdf.

This poster was prepared for NWO ICT.OPEN2026, held on 15–16 April 2026 at De Doelen, Rotterdam. ICT.OPEN brings together researchers and industry participants from ICT disciplines in the Netherlands to share research results, exchange ideas, and build collaborations. The 2026 edition had the theme “The Art of ICT” and included presentations, posters, demos, and interactive sessions.

The poster presents the Health-RI Semantic Interoperability Initiative and focuses on enabling semantic traceability in health data, including:

  • the fragmented landscape of health data standards, data models, and local schemas;
  • the semantic gap between syntactic exchange and preservation of intended meaning;
  • the risk of false agreement when systems appear aligned while remaining semantically misaligned;
  • the need for a common semantic reference model;
  • semantic traceability across representation, meaning, and referent;
  • the role of HRIO as a semantic reference model;
  • the role of HRIV in expressing explicit, traceable meaning mappings.

This version includes:

  • a working QR code;
  • a minor correction to the displayed model fragment.

No changes to HRIO (OntoUML/OWL), HRIV, mappings, tooling, or repository structure beyond the addition of this poster file.

Affected files

  • documents/posters/ictopen2026.pdf

Notes

This is a documents-* release. For the policy, see documents/README.md.

Only the PDF file is included as a release asset.
