Project_Numidia

Project_Numidia is a top-down turn-based game, which incorpates elements of the centuries old chess into a much more dynamic and experiential war-game. In addition to the iconic

The Board

15 by 15 board. Different Maps, with different terrain blocks.

There will be four map

System of Supply (resources)

Resources are used to maintain the number of spaces you occupy. Every movement also costs resources (depending on the importance of the piece, like the capital will cost alot to move). When you capture a piece gains you gain resources as well.

There will 3 types of resources:

  1. Water
  2. Energy
  3. Coins

Resource Expenditure

Every move will cost 2*[territory]

System of Pieces

Currently Chess has about 6 unique peieces (the pawn, the rook, the bishop, the knight, the king and the queen) We are going to enhance that number to, with the introudction of the assasin, informer as well as the elephant, camel, and horse (not to be confused with the rook, bishop and knight).

System of Terrain

It may be noted that the same terrain need not look the same.

Terrain Block Properties

  1. Generic Plains Terrain - Normal properties.
  2. Mountain Terrain -
    1. Upper Mountain Terrain - Requires 2 turns per move. Second move cannot be changed after the first move, enemy player will not be notified for first move.
    2. Lower Mountain Terrain - Requires 3 turns per move. Second move cannot be changed after the first move, enemy player notified for first move as well.
  3. Desert Terrain - Depletes Water resources at a 3x rate.
  4. River Terrain -
    1. Upstrem River Terrain - 2 moves per turn.
    2. Downstrem River Terrain - 2 turns per move. (should be notes that upstream and downstream will be available to both players.)
