… LV Crashed Ship Scrapeaway Announcement for Marines (#12473) # About the pull request 1) Adds two variables to skip the announcements on the timed scrapeaway effect 2) Uses one of these variables to silence the scrapeaway effect on LV-624's crashed ship for the Marines. # Explain why it's good for the game 1) More variables is good, and gives a wider range of options to mappers while limiting weird, and irrelevant (if deemed so) announcements to Marines. 1+) One benefit I just thought of while writing this, is informing Marines of unusual inserted chokes by placing a scrapeaway effect on a wall inside the choke (or a wall out of bounds in the right area). 2) This circumvents some metagaming that can be done if Marines are deploying late, as under no other circumstance do Marines get a scrapeaway announcement on LV-624 aside from CLF being present. # Testing Photographs and Procedure Placed 4 effects on USS Runtime, two muted, two unmuted. https://youtu.be/85IIgUN1RDg Video too big for Github... # Changelog :cl: DangerRevolution balance: Silenced the Scrapeaway Timed Effect for the Marines during the LV-624 CLF Crashed Ship insert. code: Added two variables for the scrapeaway timed effect to silence the announcement for Marines, or Xenos, about the walls being deleted. /:cl: --------- Co-authored-by: forest2001 <41653574+realforest2001@users.noreply.github.com>
