SnapDockStudio

SnapDockStudio builds calm, predictable, local‑first desktop applications designed for writers, developers, and teams who value clarity over complexity.
Our tools are lightweight, fast, and built to last — with no cloud lock‑in, no tracking, and no unnecessary dependencies.

We focus on native-feeling desktop software, clean UX, and long-term maintainability across Windows and Linux.

Philosophy

SnapDockStudio is built on a simple set of principles:

  • Local‑first — your data stays on your machine
  • Lightweight — fast to boot, fast to use, minimal overhead
  • Predictable — stable, maintainable, long‑term support
  • Calm UX — interfaces that stay out of your way
  • Open source — MIT‑licensed, community‑friendly

We build tools that respect your machine and your workflow.

Ecosystem

SnapDockStudio maintains a growing suite of desktop tools:

We’re especially interested in people with experience in:

  • TypeScript / JavaScript
  • Electron
  • Modern CSS (Tailwind, custom systems, or clean vanilla CSS)
  • UI/UX design for desktop applications
  • Markdown tooling or editor design
  • Local‑first / offline‑capable workflows

Rust is part of our long‑term roadmap, but not required at this stage.
