MultiplayerVideoPlayer (MVP)

Multiplayer Video Player (MVP) lets you watch videos together with friends in real time.

Whether it's a local file or an online video, MVP syncs playback across all participants. Each client can control playback independently, giving a true multiplayer experience — this isn't streaming, it's real playback, powered by UDP like a game engine.

Features

  • Automatic bootstrap: MVP downloads everything necessary at first startup — no manual setup required.
  • Sync video playback across multiple clients.
  • Supports local files and online videos (YouTube, etc.).
  • Each participant can control playback (play, pause, seek) independently.
  • Lightweight single-file deployment (~289 KB).

How to Use

  1. Download MVP
  2. Put it in a folder somewhere.
  3. Double click. Dependencies will be downloaded automatically on first launch.
  4. Enter a video file path or URL to start playback.
  5. Share your session with friends — everyone stays in sync.

Notes

  • Works entirely over UDP; no streaming server required.
  • Supports Windows 8+.
  • Manifest and bootstrap ensure all files are validated for safe, consistent playback.
