This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the theoretical and practical foundations of statistical methods for quantitative analysis in cultural heritage, archaeology, and anthropology. Students will learn to systematically describe and quantify data, exploring patterns and variability of a given dataset.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Write and execute code in R efficiently
  • Perform fundamental statistical analyses and create visual representations of results
  • Manipulate and manage quantitative data effectively
  • Generate reproducible research with well-organised digital archives
