this is a fabulous change, I dont know if we have it but I'm pretty sure baystation lets you help intent a grabbed limb to check if the bone underneath is broken or not |
i've debated including this addition to this PR as well since i have something like this included in the rework (basically the same href method but on the limbs instead), but ultimately decided against it until the main PR gets through As mentioned in the title, I just wanted whats essentially a QOL change for medics in its own separate PR without all the other balancing garbage that medical rework has rather than keeping it for ten thousand more years until I've finished Phase 1 |
About the pull request
Title.
No, medical rework isn't dead, I just have ADHD and I am directly responsible for 2 total reworks and a thousand other XL PRs
That, and I also just wanted this PR out of the way (and its a PR that I absolutely want ASAP for its convenience) rather than waiting until November to PR the entirety of Phase 1
Explain why it's good for the game
Being able to remove other peoples splints was something that medical was missing for the longest of times, and this was the best method of going about it.
That said, being able to check other peoples limb status at a glance, rather than having to utilize examine or a scanner, or word of mouth to do it also makes it really convenient during those hectic situations.
Obviously, you wouldn't be able to tell if another persons limb is broken, only totally visible wounds are present on limb status checking

Changelog
🆑
balance: You can now alt click another human to check their status, being able to check their limb status at a glance without requiring a scanner. Obviously, you wouldn't be able to tell if someone has a broken limb or prosthesis without a scanner, however
qol: Additionally, you can remove theirs AND your individual splints rather than having to use the verb that removes all of it at once
code: Defuncts some legacy code regarding unreachable limbs from wearing a space suit
code: As a result of this PR, you can no longer alt-click a carbon to check the contents of a tile, you would have to click on an object or a tile by that point
spellcheck: Touches up on some grammar and proper wording regarding status checking
