Hi hyperic,
thanks a lot for your efforts providing this great code. It worked out of the box after I integrated it in my system (Hadoop and HBase).
For being able to compile and bundle jcollectd and hadoop-collectd in a for me easier way, I mavenized these projects. You can find the code in this fork.
I would be very nice if you could include that code into your master.
As you will see, names and references in the pom file are set up to match your project and main branch.
