This PR makes the necessary changes for the merging scheme described in cosmicds/cds-app#45. Additionally, this PR makes some changes to our test infrastructure to allow us to properly define story-level tests, in addition to the top-level ones.
Ideally downstream clients shouldn't need to make any changes (unless otherwise demanded by the changing to the merge structure itself) as the schemas of the returned data should be unchanged.
