Summary

  • Add Splunk4Rookies Buttercup agentic design: Power User orchestrator plus IT Ops, DevOps, Business Analytics, and Security & Fraud specialists (docs/S4R-AGENTS.md, .cursor/agents/).
  • Add scoped Cursor rule s4r-buttercup-agents.mdc (tracked via .gitignore exception).
  • DevOps agents report missing indexed platform but extract inline with SPL rex; optimized workflow includes failure-rate-by-platform for client vs server verdict.

Test plan

  • Open SA-S4R/ or mention Buttercup — Cursor rule applies
  • Run Buttercup Power User delegation against live index=main sourcetype=access_combined
  • Confirm DevOps completes with inline rex when platform is not indexed
  • make demo-prep still passes on main merge base
