Summary of Changes

Hello, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This release, version 0.0.7, focuses on refining the Google Workspace extension by deprecating specific find tools for Sheets and Slides in favor of a more unified drive.search approach. It also standardizes skill naming conventions to prevent conflicts and enhances the Calendar skill for clearer parameter usage, all while ensuring the documentation reflects these important updates.

Highlights

  • Version Bump: The project version has been incremented to 0.0.7 across package.json, workspace-server/package.json, and gemini-extension.json.
  • Breaking Changes: Tool Deprecation: The sheets.find and slides.find tools have been removed. Users should now utilize drive.search with appropriate MIME type filters for finding Google Sheets and Slides presentations.
  • Skill Renaming: All skill directories have been renamed to use a google-* prefix (e.g., calendar to google-calendar) to prevent potential slash command conflicts.
  • Calendar Skill Update: The Calendar skill now explicitly mandates calendarId='primary' to ensure agents provide the required parameter.
  • New Skills and Guidance: New Sheets and Slides skills have been introduced, providing guidance on how to use drive.search for finding spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Documentation Cleanup: Stale references to the removed slides.find and sheets.find tools have been cleaned up in the docs/index.md file.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request prepares for the v0.0.7 release by updating version numbers in package.json, workspace-server/package.json, and gemini-extension.json, and adding release notes. The documentation in docs/index.md has been correctly updated to remove the deprecated slides.find and sheets.find tools. I've found one inconsistency in the new release notes regarding the removal of other tools, which I've detailed in a specific comment.
