This pull request only introduces a Makefile option
MacOSto link properly when compiling on MacOS.Additionally, some compilation outputs are added to the
.gitignorefile.I had also included a preprocessor directive to do with non-free OpenCV modules, but I have reverted that change to keep the scope of this pull request to cross-platform compilation.
One line is added to the README to indicate that this code can be compiled on MacOS systems, but default behaviour is maintained.
