The README was AsciiDoc (README.adoc + a README.md carrying raw asciidoc
syntax), so GitHub-community-health and external MCP directories (Glama) render
it as literal markup ('= boj-server', ':toc:', '[source,bash]', 'image:[]',
'link:[]'). README must be real Markdown to render in those consumers and to
tick the community-health checklist. Converts the asciidoc source to GFM via
pandoc (badges fixed to clickable [](link)), keeps the CC-BY-SA-4.0
SPDX header as an HTML comment, and removes the duplicate README.adoc.
NOTE: cartridge count carried verbatim from source (115); the 115/125/139
reconciliation across README/site is a separate owner decision (#256).
