Thanks. Should probably be called FindSLEPc.cmake for consistency with the other modules here. But have you had a problem using pkg-config? SLEPc now writes lib/pkgconfig/slepc.pc, which is supported by SLEPc (in writing the correct info) and CMake (via https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/module/FindPkgConfig.html).

(I would love to phase out this repository because I haven't used CMake in my own projects in almost a decade and we have more reliable methods now with pkgconfig files.)

Ah that's neat! I was doing a local install and did not check lib/pkgconfig - that's definitely a much cleaner way!

That being said, what build methods do you employ nowadays?

Mainly GNU Make (like PETSc and SLEPc) and dabbling with Rust.
