Description

This is an attempt to make the interaction with ServiceManager on Unix / commandline based interfaces less painful.

Getting Started

Dependencies

• Python3 with standard libraries, no external dependecies used
• Any modern version of ucybsmcl (12.3 +)

Installing

Usage

The process list can be refreshed either manually (RE action) or by default it refreshes every 10 seconds automatically. Auto-refresh pauses as soon as you start typing and resumes after the action is entered. You can disable auto-refresh by setting AUTOMIC_AUTOREFRESH=0.

The script can be started in two modes

Providing a configuration file as parameter

In this mode the script will process the data in the configuration file provided and let you choose which system you want to configure.

You can define as many connections as you like Certificate authentication is optional. If you set certificate or key, you must set both. chain is optional.

Demo:

If there is only one connection defined in the config file you will not get prompted of course.

Without configuration - interactive mode

In this mode the script will ask you ( of use env variables ) to establish the connection to ServiceManager If you want to use certificate authentication without config, set: AUTOMIC_SMCERT, AUTOMIC_SMKEY, and optionally AUTOMIC_SMCHAIN. The script does not prompt for these values.
