The packtools project is a Python library and a set of command-line utilities developed to handle packages and XML files from the SciELO Publishing Schema (SPS). It is designed to simplify and automate the validation, conversion, and manipulation of XML files used in the publication of academic content. The primary goal of this initiative is to manage SciELO XML files, providing efficient tools for validation, HTML and PDF generation, package optimization, and more. Currently, it supports Python starting from version 3.9.
