Creating a Design
All Design management and creation is housed under the Setup section, along with options for Schedule and Event management. To create a new design, just follow these simple steps:
-
From the Setup Page, the link to Create Design is at the top of the Designs section. Clicking it will bring you to the Design editor
-
From the Design Editor you can name your new design and add a description to it. You need to give a design a name before you can start adding variables to it
- There are also options to control whether the design is publicly available or private
-
Once you name your new design, a button appears that lets you add Sections or Variables. Clicking on the button opens up the Variable Creation menu
-
The Variable Creation menu contains options to create variables of many different types. Once you select a variable type, the menu gives you the option to customize the variable by specifying its name, option choices, and ranges of acceptable values, depending on what variable type you select
-
Keep in mind that just like with the design, you at least need to give a variable a name to add it to your new design
-
If you're creating a variable with choices, such as a dropdown or checkbox, you'll have to add choices to its domain after you add it
-
The Variable Creation menu also gives you the ability to add Sections to your design. Sections are a great way to break your design up and let users jump to different parts of it
-
-
You can see what your design will look like to users entering data into at any time. Just click the Preview button at the top of the page
-
When you finish creating your new design, just click the Stop Editing button at the top of the page. You'll automatically be taken to that design's page. If you ever want to go and make more changes to that design, all you need to do is click the Edit Design button from that design's page
-
After you create your designs, you can start creating events and schedules for them
