(WORK IN PROGRESS) Derive estimated canopy heights from raw ICESat-2 ATL03 photon returns.
A series of jupyter notebook pipelines for processing lidar point clouds (LAS files) and deriving vegetation structure metrics.
Logic:It splits the newest layer in half and tucks the older version right into the center.The Rule: Each new step is built using the parts of the two steps that came before it.The Shape: It creates a balanced, mirrored design that looks like a widening canopy or an opening umbrella.Nature:It mimics how shells and plants grow.
