• Common Council Meeting

  • A few of us attended a Common Council meeting the past Monday
  • Idea: SMS program to text the time and location of public meetings
  • Propose holding a project night for pre-planning at the SJCPL
  • Chris will be working on a different SMS bot, it'll be good to base ours on

• National Day of Action call

  • Chris attended a planning call for the National Day of Action
  • Topic will be criminal re-entry
  • CfA topic that already has projects we could research and adapt
  • Pre-existing projects we can research/adapt
  • Matrix of different ideas people had [link]
  • Got pushed back to the 21st
  • Everybody should look at the spreadsheet, Chris flagged three that we might be able to be a part of
  • There’ll be another round of people soliciting ideas, and each brigade will vote on what they want to work on
  • This is the first time the NAC has tried to organize all the brigades in this way
  • “There’s a national network of local legal aid groups that will be mobilizing for Expungement Week; we could try and canvas local groups to make sure they’re plugged into that effort”

• Meeting time

  • Move back to 6:30? 5:30 is hard to make for some folks
